Frequently Asked Questions 

 

1. Where do you get the garments from?
   
   Our wardrobe is made up of vintage garments, ex-favorite garments& bad buys from different women (you also want to be part of Ropateca’s wardrobe? Check question # 8) and young designer pieces. Which are particularly important to us because we want to offer them the stage they deserve: fair produced, super hip It-pieces. 
    

2. What sizes do you have?
   
   We are (still) a small business and mainly limited to standard sizes. The majority of the range is therefore between 36 and 42. However we are constantly trying to expand as much as we can. Some pieces are also available in larger and smaller sizes, but unfortunately there are only a few. To change this, we welcome donations of clothes of all sizes to make everybody happy at some point.
   
   The best way to keep yourself updated is with our newsletter. We inform you about newly arrived pieces, sizes and new designer collaborations.
    

3. Are there any garments in different sizes?
   
   No. All our items are unique pieces.
    

4. How many pieces can I borrow? / Can I take less than 4 pieces?
   
   You can borrow a maximum of 4 pieces . Of course you are allowed to borrow less than 4 pieces.
    

5. How long can I borrow the pieces?
   
   Option Spain: You can always borrow four pieces at the same time and keep them for 30 days at home.
   
   Option Barcelona: You can always borrow four pieces at the same time and change them every week or keep them for 30 days at home.
    

6. Can I return for example two pieces and keep one?
   
   Option Spain: Yes, you can. Until you have not returned all items, we just charge you another month. That means, if you borrow four pieces and after 30 days you return only three pieces, we charge you another month. You can borrow 3 new pieces, of course.
   
   Option Barcelona: Yes, you can. During your 30 days you can change your clothes every week and however you like. If after 30 days you have not returned all items, we charge you another 30 days.
    

7. Do you buy clothes?
   
   No. We are just like a big common wardrobe. If you would like to be part of Ropateca and give us your well-preserved ex-favorite pieces or bad buys, you can do so. (How does this work? See question # 8)
    

8. Can I donate garments?
   
   Absolutely ! Ropateca lives of that. We put our wardrobe together from your ex-favorite pieces. One woman's trash is another woman's treasure :) Send us well preserved pieces or just stop by at our shop (new address COMING SOON).
   
   Of course, we gladly pay the shipping! Always wanted to have a piece or even a whole collection named after you? We will fulfill this dream for you - your donated pieces will be named after you.
    

9. Do you also have clothes for men?
   
   Unfortunately not, since we don't have the capacities. Until now. 
    

10. Do you have other stores?
    
    Until now we are only in Barcelona. BUT WE ARE WORKING FULL SPEED ON GIVING ALL SPAIN ACCESS TO OUR WARDROBE.
     

11. In what state must I return the garments?
    
    You take good care of the borrow pieces - as if they were borrowed from a good friend. Normal traces of wearing the garment (removable stains or open seams) are repaired by us, worse damage we will put on your account (where appropriate). 
     

12. What happens if something breaks?
    
    You are responsible for any damages beyond normal traces of wearing the garment. Normal traces are removable stains or open seams. In case of damage, going beyond these normal signs of use, we will put the costs of repair on your account. If we can’t use a garment anymore, you will have to pay its price or estimated value. 
     

13. How can I cancel my membership?
    
    The subscription can be canceled after a minimum term of one month. Such denunciation shall not take effect until all garments owned by Ropateca are back in stock. The current month is always fully charged.
